There are few things we enjoy more than getting involved in a great cause,. although a bit of friendly competition certainly helps.
Once again, Team goodnus joined GPE (Great Portland Estates) for its annual charity football event, bringing together teams for an afternoon of football, fundraising and community spirit, and we're pleased to report that the team did us proud, battling their way through the tournament to reach the semi-finals for the second year in a row.
We might not have brought home the trophy, but making the final four two years running isn't bad going!
For goodnus, taking part in events like this is about much more than what happens on the pitch. Supporting charities and the communities around us has long been important to our team. Over the years, we've backed a wide range of causes, from helping St Clare Hospice with its Christmas tree fundraising initiative to supporting SEND Coffee, whose programme helps young adults with special educational needs and disabilities develop skills, confidence and routes into employment. Getting involved with GPE's charity football event is another opportunity to bring people together while contributing to that wider culture of giving back.
It's also fantastic to see GPE continuing to build on its own commitment to social impact. In 2026, GPE announced new three-year partnerships with Future Frontiers and The London Clean Air Initiative, focusing respectively on social mobility and creating cleaner, healthier communities across London. GPE has committed an annual corporate donation of at least £50,000 to each organisation, alongside at least 240 hours of employee volunteering each year.
Those partnerships form part of GPE's broader ambition to create a “Fairer Future for London”, with a focus on inclusive communities, healthier and greener spaces, and strong partnerships that amplify positive impact.
Of course, it wouldn't be a goodnus event without plenty of refreshments. Alongside putting a team on the pitch, we provided a complimentary goodnus refreshment stand to keep players and supporters fuelled throughout the tournament. A huge thank you goes to Punchy, Re:Water, Vive and All Real for helping us stock the stand with a fantastic selection of drinks and snacks.
It was a great opportunity to share some of the brands we love working with while adding a little extra goodnus to the day.
A massive thank you to GPE for organising another brilliant event, to everyone who took part and supported the day, and to our goodnus team for representing us both on and off the pitch. Another semi-final appearance is something to celebrate, but after two years of getting this close, there's only one place left to go! Next year, we're coming for the final.
