Over the past two years, goodnus has proudly supported SEND Coffee, a charity dedicated to empowering young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Through this collaboration, we've supported SEND Coffee by storing and distributing their products, ensuring that they can focus on their core mission: providing life-changing opportunities through its barista training course.

SEND Coffee’s 12-month course equips young adults with a variety of life skills that go far beyond making and serving coffee. Trainees learn essential tasks such as cooking, commuting, self-care, financial literacy and interacting with the public in a professional environment. These skills are crucial for building confidence, independence, and employability, making the course a transformative experience for its trainees. Moreover, the course is delivered in line with Ofsted standards, ensuring that it meets the highest educational quality.

goodnus is incredibly proud of its involvement in this initiative, which is a perfect reflection of our values when it comes to community engagement, and social responsibility. Furthermore, we're also able to help SEND Coffee reduce their Scope 3 emissions, by delivering their coffee alongside our own customer deliveries across London.

"We are extremely proud of our relationship with SEND Coffee. Supporting them over the past two years has been one of the most rewarding experiences for us. Seeing the growth and confidence in the trainees, and knowing that we’ve played a part in that, is something we hold very dear. Their work aligns perfectly with our values, and it’s a privilege to contribute." - Chris Rudge, goodnus CEO.

Recently, goodnus attended a Graduation Ceremony at SEND Coffee’s Clarnico Coffee shop in East London, where trainees celebrated the completion of their 12-month barista course. The event was a heartwarming experience, showcasing the incredible progress made by the young adults. For goodnus, attending the ceremony was a testament to the real impact that their support has had on the trainees' lives. The ceremony was filled with pride and joy, as the graduates shared their achievements and looked forward to the next chapter in their lives.

Jack Dobby from SEND Coffee said "goodnus has been an invaluable partner for us. Their help with storing and distributing our coffee has allowed us to focus on what truly matters, helping our trainees gain the skills they need for the future. The recent graduation ceremony at Clarnico Coffee was a fantastic reminder of why this partnership is so important. We’re excited to continue working together and supporting even more young adults."

Looking to the future, goodnus and SEND Coffee are excited to continue working together to make a positive impact on the lives of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities. As the partnership grows, both organisations are committed to expanding their reach, with the goal of helping more young people achieve their potential through skill-building, confidence, and community support.

SEND have three revenue streams to fund the great work they do:
  1. Donations
  2. Coffee shop sales
  3. Coffee bean sales to corporate partners
Not only is it a great cause, but SEND coffee is operated by experienced coffee professionals and their coffee is great! Many of our clients are benefiting already - get in touch today to discuss.
